Job Opportunity: Research Associate Position
The Human Brain Function Lab at the University of Virginia is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Research Associate. This position will involve research work focus on pain-related human brain recordings including scalp EEG, intracranial LFP, and single unit recordings. Our research interests are basic and clinical pain neuroscience. Applicants holding a related Ph.D. degree with human and/or animal electrophysiology recordings, and experience with all aspects of neural signal processing are required.
Responsibilities:
Conducting experiments and neural signal data collection related to pain-related human brain function
Analyzing data and assisting in data acquisition
Collaborating with other lab members on research projects
Contributing to the preparation of research findings for publication
Requirements:
Strong background in signal processing
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in neuroscience research (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
